Alyssa O’Donnell

MANCHESTER, NH

Alyssa O’Donnell was born and raised in New Hampshire and settled in Manchester. She found LDTT after adopting a Redbone Coonhound and she quickly discovered some very intense challenges she was having with him. One day, a dog fight broke out with her 3-year-old child nearby. It was then she knew she had to do something.

“I figured I would have to give him up because what kind of mom would I be to allow an aggressive dog to stay in my home with my child?” She then went to her vet, talked with her former dog trainer, and posted about her struggles online. When she met an LDTT trainer, everything changed, and she knew she wanted to help as many others as she could, and she joined the team.

Previous to becoming a dog trainer, Alyssa worked as a recruiter for the Army National Guard. She also worked in the community to help adolescents and adults learn about career options in the military. She obtained CrossFit Level 2 and Master Fitness Trainer certificates and has a bachelor’s degree in health and Physical Education K-12.

Her goals are inspiring as she plans on running a half marathon, traveling out of state, reading a book a month for personal growth and self-development, go to a Red Sox game with her dog, and helping as many dogs and owners as possible.

In her spare time, Alyssa likes to snowboard, hike, and spend time with family and friends.
