Certification happens in person, at our Cleveland training center.
Our corporate headquarters in Cleveland supports hands-on dog training, trainer education, and nationwide service operations. It is where Lorenzo’s method is taught to every new trainer.

The method you will learn
Built by Lorenzo over more than 40 years.
Lorenzo’s work with dogs started at six years old, quietly training the strays he brought home from the neighborhood. By ten, his parents had him training with professional dog trainers, and through the 1970s and 1980s he studied under multiple professionals across many disciplines.
Every system had strengths and weaknesses, so Lorenzo combined the most effective elements and dropped the rest. He paid his way through college with in-home training, and since its incorporation in 1987 Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team has trained thousands of dogs and trainers. Today he places trainers across the country to carry that technique into homes and businesses.

Questions candidates ask.
Is this a regular dog trainer job?
No. It is a certification and independent business owner pathway. You learn Lorenzo's system, earn LDTT certification, and build your own client base with the company's brand, office, and trainer network behind you.
Is Lorenzo's Dog Training Team a franchise?
No. Lorenzo's describes the opportunity as not a traditional franchise. It is built around independence, hands-on training, brand support, and ongoing guidance.
Where does the training happen?
In person at the Lorenzo's training center, 4815 Orchard Rd, Garfield Heights, Ohio, next to Cleveland. If you are accepted you should be willing and able to travel there for the required training.
How long is the training?
The pathway is more than 320 hours of hands-on and classroom training, with testing and one-on-one mentorship.
Do I need dog experience?
Dog experience helps, but recruiting also looks for communication, organization, sales ability, coachability, physical readiness, and comfort working with owners.
What does it cost, and when are the classes?
